II．Tuition Fee and Other Cost
1. Tuition fee
l 18000RMB/year for normal majors
l 22000RMB/year for Art major
l 24000RMB/year for Top-up English-taught majors （availability of the program depends on the number of application received）
2. Other cost
Entry fee: 800 RMB/year
Insurance fee: 600RMB/year
Textbook fee: about 500RMB/year
Dormitory fee: 50RMB/day/person for double room including electricity, water and network
80RMB/day/person for single room including electricity, water and network
III．Eligibility & Application
1. Eligibility Requirements
(1) Citizenship
Students applying for the undergraduate programs must be non-Chinese citizens.
(2) Age and education background
Applicants should obtain a high school degree or above and be no more than 25 years old;
(3) Language proficiency
Generally, applicants should achieve a Chinese level of HSK3 and meet the language requirement of the faculty they apply to join. Those who don’t may apply for our language programme first and they will be granted entrance qualifications for degree programme after they meet the required language proficiency.

Applying for Shanghai Government Scholarship
I. Funding period
Four years for undergraduate program.
II. Categories
1. The Shanghai Government Scholarships (SGS) is classified into A and B types.
2. Coverage
Type A includes tuition, expenses for accommodation and living, and medical insurance;
Type B includes tuition and medical insurance.

2. Application Requirements
Students can log onto the Study in Shanghai website, (www.study-shanghai.org), which provides information on universities, courses, application periods and procedures. Students can apply for the scholarship on the website.

IV. Annual Evaluation
Universities in Shanghai recruiting SGS students will make comprehensive evaluations of the SGS students’ academic performance, attitude, attendance and conduct every year. Students evaluated as qualified are entitled to get the scholarship in the following year; those who fail the evaluation will be suspended or deprived of the scholarship for the following year.
